Shingles

Shingles is a viral infection of the nerves in certain areas of the skin. The Shingles disease medical conditions manifest as red, painful blisters and burning in the area of ​​skin corresponding to the affected nerves. The same virus that causes chickenpox (varicella zoster) is also responsible for shingles disease. Shingles symptoms often begin with sensitivity in the affected area of the skin followed by pain, rash and the development of blisters. There is no shingles treatment that can cure this viral infection, but use of antiviral medications can slow reproduction of the virus and lessen the chance of pain.
